When Life's bigger events come along St Mary's is here to help.
If you would like to talk through how we can help please just scroll to the bottom of the page and email or call us. We look forward to talking to you.
Baptism
Baptism is a sacred sacrament. It is the right of passage into the Christian faith.
Babies and adults can be baptised.
It would be a delight to speak with you if you would like to consider baptism – AKA christening, for a child or yourself.
You will be encouraged to learn what becoming part of the Christian faith means, and you will be able to ask lots of questions – no question is silly!!
Weddings
We enjoy helping people to plan their weddings.
Marriage is a truly wonderful thing, and to be married in a setting as beautiful as St Mary’s only adds to the beauty of the day. To come before God and to have friends and family witness your vows is a memory to treasure together.
All who wish to be married here are welcome.
Please note that Reverend Lesley-ann will expect to meet the happy and excited couple at least three times before the ceremony.
If you would like to speak to the rector about planning your wedding, a wedding blessing, or a renewal of Vows at St Mary’s, please contact us below.
Costs: there is no set fee, however, for wedding services, we encourage a minimum donation of £350. We can also help with an excellent organist, Mr John Walker, whose fees are arranged with him directly.
Funerals
We at St Mary’s are here to support you as you plan the final fare thee well for a loved one. we will hear you, listen to your needs, pray with you and gently guide you along the way.
We don’t want anyone to feel alone at this time. Come and speak to Reverend Lesley-Ann who will work closely with your chosen funeral directors to provide the Godly and personal funeral service, constructed just for your needs.
