Good Friday – Easter Sunday

St Mary's Scottish Episcopal Church Birnam

WOW! Good Friday was very good indeed. Rev Lesley-ann carried the cross all around Birnam and Dunkeld to shouts and car horns of joy and good wishes from residents and holidaymakers alike. She was slightly bruised from the 2-hour mission! but as she says ” It wasn’t a full-size cross and my burden was light compared to our LORD’s. A warm bath and Arnica sorted her out.

Sweets were given out on Holy Saturday morning. 200 happy recipients were blessed and handed chocolate by our volunteers Irene, Diane, and Lesley-ann. Well done you three.

Rev Ian Atkinson was delighted to be wheeled right up to the church door on Easter Sunday. Our newly laid pathway is the last part of our disabled access path to be completed. When the ‘rest and be thankful’ garden is finished the whole thing will be blessed, hopefully by Rev Ian, who kept the church grounds looking splendid for many years.
